Detail C2 — Redesign

A new website, without losing what works.

An old site usually has more value in it than it looks: pages that rank, content customers rely on, links from other sites. We start by finding what's earning you business, then redesign and rebuild around it, so the new site keeps the good parts and loses the rest.

Notes — Signs it's time

When a redesign makes sense.

  1. 01The site looks dated, and you hesitate before sending people to it.
  2. 02It's slow, especially on a phone.
  3. 03Only one person, or nobody, knows how to update it.
  4. 04It no longer describes what the business does today.
Specification — What we protect

What carries across.

  • RankingsPages that rank keep their content, and every old address redirects to its new one.
  • Content that worksThe pages customers use most are kept and improved, not rewritten for the sake of it.
  • Your brandWe refresh the look without making you unrecognisable to existing customers.

General notes — FAQ

Questions about redesigns.

Will we lose our Google rankings?

Not if it's planned properly. We keep the pages that rank and redirect every old address. Some movement in the first weeks is normal. For large sites, or a change of domain, our website migration service adds deeper SEO checks, quoted separately.

Can you move our content across?

Yes. Moving content to the new site is part of the project, and we tidy it up on the way. Large or complicated content moves are quoted as part of the migration work.

Can we keep our current design and just rebuild?

Yes. If the design works and the problem is speed or editing, we can rebuild it on a faster, easier-to-edit foundation with a lighter refresh.
